The Making of Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2009 Campaign

The designer, Marc Jacobs knew exactly who he wanted to personify the spirit of the Spring/Summer 2009 fashion campaign.

“I wanted the campaign to be very bold, very sensual and very atmospheric. To carry off all these references and all this sophistication, we needed the ultimate performer and for me, that is Madonna ” says Marc Jacob

Definitely, Madonna was the new face of Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer ad campaign. The iconic pop star was first time photographed by her influential fashion photographer, Steven Meisel.

The great relationship between the two is clearly evidence as in a sepia-toned setting redolent of a Paris cafĂ© in the Forties. We will see the zinc bar, bentwood chairs and air thick with smoke, Madonna transforms into Marc Jacobs’ vision representing the perfect example of a classy Parisian in season’s sexy short skirts, ethnic-inspired sandals and animal-print bangles.

Madonna shows emblematic slouchy bags in Monogram canvas and Monogram-embossed leather. See video below for The Making of Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2009 Campaign
