Marc Jacobs’ New Frontier

Marc Jacobs says goodbye to his cheaper line Marc by Marc and will manage from now on just the main line “Marc Jacobs”. New edgy Marc Jacobs handbags are being sold for under $500. Sebastian Suhl, CEO for the Marc Jacobs label, believes the leather goods alone will be able to reach up to 70 percent of overall sales for the brand once this transition into featuring more accessories has been set in stone. The first collection featuring the condensed labeling and restructured prices has been just released and everything was polished off with a fresh new logo to rejuvenate everything the brand is about.025_d2p 013_Tp 018_Tp 021_Tp

Gucci Androgynous Direction

Alessandro Michele,  creative director of Gucci, is the head behind the brand’s new, androgynous direction. “I’d like to present my men’s and ladies’ collections together,” he said. “It’s the way I see the world today. It will not be an easy, but I believe it will give me the chance to move towards a different kind of approach to my fashion. This road has been already opened by Burberry and Tom Ford, unisex fashion is on the rise, as is fashion that makes the wearer and viewer reconsider what we habitually label as either ‘masculine’ or ‘feminine.’

“Having separate shows for men and women is largely a result of now outdated and oftentimes inconvenient traditions” says Marco Bizzarri, chief executive officer of Gucci Shop. “Producing one show each season will significantly help to simplify many aspects of our business”.

Timelessly Chic: Coach Handbags

Coach has its roots in a small family-owned leather good shop in Manhattan that opened in 1941. In the fashion world, Coach is synonymous with both “hip” and “classic,” not a combination most brands can boast. Coach handbags are always modern as well as timelessly chic. Coach introduced the double “C” logo print 20 years ago, today this logo is  reproduced in most canvas bags and bags locks.

Prada launches 2 new bags: Pionnière and Cahier

The new Pionnière and Cahier bags from the Italian luxury fashion house are very peculiar for form and structure compared to the existing collection of Prada Handbags. Part of the FW2016 collection, the 2 styles are already available at Prada stores worldwide.

Madonna’s Daughter Lourdes Debuts In Stella McCartney’s Perfume Campaign

Madonna’s eldest daughter, Lourdes Lola Leon, makes her official debut in the fashion world. The 19 year old girl is the new face of Stella McCartney’s Pop fragrance campaign. Lola is at ease in the images of the promotion that was shot by Glen Luchford in California with the sun-drenched desert as backdrop. It was McCartney’s call for female camaraderie and collective girl power that led Leon to collaborate with the British designer, who also happens to be a longtime friend of her mother’s. In the first image release for the campaign, Lourdes’ naturally dark black hair has been dyed a soft lavender shade that complements the magenta shades of the Pop bottle and the pastel pink backdrop.

A reliable name in the world of online shopping

The fashion market seems split between the practicality of successful online stores like Net-a-Porter and the luxurious treatment offered by designer megastores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Harrods. There are many online fashion retailers today and one of the most reliable, even if not so popular, is Styledrops.com. The company started out as a small online shop back in 2003  in Turin, Italy and it’s now a well structured e-shop that displays more than 5000 items, with particular regard to shoes and bags. Customers can expect to find here top luxury brands such as Prada, Gucci, Givenchy, Fendi, Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Ferragamo, Tod’s and Hogan but also a whole range of international designers that aren’t easily found elsewhere, such as Vivienne Westwood, Comme des Garcons, Giuseppe Zanotti, Phillip Lim, Marcelo Burlon to name just few. Aside from that, excellent customer service and reliable express delivery are available for more than 100 countries in the world.. The most interesting thing about shopping for fashion at Styledrops.com is that they continually update their inventory  on a daily basis. You can always find something new here. Unfortunately shipping is not included into the price of the item. This is quite common with high end shops that export from Europe to the rest of the world, export taxes and international shipping is probably a cost they can’t support. Nevertheless, sales taxes are included in the price for many countries like EU and US.  Shipping fees vary greatly depending on your shipping location, and you can check the exact amount you’re going to pay selecting your currency into the top menu and your country of shipping at the checkout.
