Prada Spring-Summer 2010 Ad Campaign with Rasa Zukauskaite

Prada is one of the most influential labels you could splurge on that often associated with luxury and sophistication. The label did some chic and fabulous things with the stylist as the new Spring-Summer 2010 Ad campaign concentrates more on bright orange lipstick and trans sunglasses rather than clothes and accessories.

Rasa Zukauskaite, a young and little known Lithuanian model was chosen as the new face of Prada Spring-Summer 2010 Ad Campaign shot by Steven Meisel. Rasa is very pretty and her appeal makes the campaign look nice and more appealing.

The attention is more focused to the face, something that would be avoided in an Ad like this but the totality of the campaign was really the work of a true artist and designer.
Indeed, the clothes, lip gloss, handbags and shoes are perfect!

Chanel Spring-Summer 2010 at Paris Fashion Week

The Chanel designer, Karl Lagerfeld exceeded his own expectations after he prepared and launched the Chanel Spring-Summer 2010 collection at Paris Fashion Week.

The Grand Palais was full of fun and high spirit as Chanel brought down their angels and flirt things into the hay of fun. The spectators had an opportunity to see and feel the Chanel spirit that could never be forgotten. The show is very unique and amazing.

A huge fashion barn has been made and runway models had a chance to stepped out their skinny legs and bare feet. This show was really something special for me. The clothes they wore were simple and classic yet very nice and comfortable. Some of the clothes were made from ordinary cotton and others were made of chic materials. I can feel the country-inspired show due to their country-inspired garments such as aprons, dirndls, multi-colored sun-frocks, peasant-y poppy prints, etc. Chanel was born to be classic but there were plenty of luxurious outfits during the show like dresses, skirt suits, blouses and patterned tights. The show won’t be complete without Chanel shoes.

The trendy shoes for Spring-Summer 2010 were mostly comfortable clogs with chunky heels, occasionally decorated with flowers or nice patterns. Classic shoes were also present in a diversity of colors.

Accessories were very feminine and pleasantly attractive. Handbags were not only focused to signature chain-handles but also to some perfect woven items, tiny clutches and other embellishments rich in decorations.

Versace Spring/Summer 2010 at Milan Fashion Week

The Milan Fashion Week would not be memorable without the runway show of Donatella Versace for her Versace itself. She is a person of unusual vision of things and skills to personify her entire creations.
Her Spring/Summer collection 2010 was inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.

I loved the idea of that fantasy land,” said Donatella.

She created her own pieces to make fashion aficionados look younger. Donatella shows her own opinion of how young people should look like. These are not only to showcase short skirts and sheer materials but also to bring the usefulness of these fashion ensembles. Versace was able to make something new and interesting for modern youngsters – something stylish, innovative, and classy yet very feminine. The collection looks fresh and sumptuous for its vivid pastels, geometric prints, baroque curlicues, super-short skirts, diverse materials and elaborate combination of fabrics.

The collection includes not only clothes for our daily wear but also for evening occasions. Floor-sweeping airy gowns with high slits are nice for semi-casual events; they look elegant and attractive.

Dolce&Gabbana Spring/Summer 2010 at Milan Fashion Week

The two known designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana cast a spell of the future most desirable feature of the hottest collection of RTW.

The collections are spectacular with light of glamor that ladies love most. Whoever wears this will definitely exude their simplicity and sexiness. They are tempting with the lingerie. Experience the comfy feeling of everyday life.

“Heritage,” is the name they gave to the show, laced with a piece of tango and sate with pride of Dolce & Gabbana’s signatures.

The collection mesmerized the audience for the true mannish arrogance styled suits, sexy intimate apparels, diaphanous laces, cafe-curtain macrame short dresses, and rose-patterned outfits in Chinese fashion, striped skinny tuxedos, lace Little black dresses with bras and long fringed margins.

The collections are definitely one of a kind for the red carpet moments, appropriate for a person’s character who wants a new look for their daily wear and needs. They will say that everything is in its proper place.

I Love Manolo Blahnik too!

No one captures the heart of every woman except Manolo Blahnik. He is solely responsible for the design of every thousand pairs of shoes that bear his signature.

When Carrie Bradshaw, the shoe-loving main character of the Sex And The City TV series, took a wrong turn after lunch in SoHo she found herself on one of New York’s grungier side streets and face-to-face with a mugger. “Please sir,” she pleaded. “You can take my Fendi baguette, you can take my ring and my watch, but don’t take my Blahniks.”

Unfortunately, the mugger took off her favorite pair of strappy Manolo’s.

Manolo Blahnik

The TV series plays a very important role in Manolo’s life. He has become one of the renowned designers whose name is synonymous with their product. The name itself – Manolo – is now used as a label to describe very expensive and very beautiful shoes. Even though some people never have a chance to see the actual pair of Manolo Blahniks.

I really really appreciate the works of Manolo. His remarkable achievement given that Blahnik is solely responsible for the design and prototype of every shoe that bears his name without any apprentices. Without any formal trainings in shoe-making, he has dominated the entire shoe business in London“I didn’t need it,” Blahnik told his friend Michael Roberts only half-jokingly in the late 1970s, “because I’ve got the best taste in the world.”

Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010 Collection

The Burberry Prorsum Spring /Summer 2010 collections are so much expected and being anticipated by the many and finally it was unveiled and closed during the 25th Anniversary of the London Fashion Week.
The house of Burberry who presented their collections in Milan for many years returned to London to make the celebration more colorful and meaningful.

Trench coats are the main pieces for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2010 trend. The trench has been reinvented and designed particularly for the hippie chic ages 18-to 25 years old.
Beige color is very popular and trendy in this collection as well as military motives are still fresh.

Indeed, the Burberry trench coats are a must-haves for every fashionista all over the world most especially in England where rainy days are being experienced.

Aside from the trench, the Burberry designer tried some extraordinary short dresses made of light airy fabrics. The materials has something never done by Burberry before, they were twisted, pleated and draped.

The colors are all subdued such as gray, mint green, lavender, rosy, yellowish, and other pastel colors. Nothing was bright or catchy color in this collection.

For me, the entire collection gives the impression of luxury, glamor and calmness.

Gucci Men Spring 2010 Milan Fashion Week

The house of Gucci showcased its Spring 2010 menswear through a runway show last June 21 with a strong inspiration to the work of Latin American architect, Oscar Niemeyer.

White as the key opening color of this spring 2010 was inspired by Niemeyer who designed a certain number of his buildings in white. Niemeyer’s lifeworks are generally curvilinear and based on reflecting and imitating the abundance and altered fauna of his native Brazil. In contrast to the latest clothing lines of Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini were largely linear and straight.

The collections are looked great in an excellent series of evening looks. Designed with tapered pants cut off above the ankle and fine two-button suits made in cool jacquards and silks in wonderful hues of indigo and burnt rose.

The Gucci menswear, besides of its less Brazilian style had even little to do with modern men’s fashion. Some of them looked too familiar from Giannini’s most recent collections for the brand and their New Wave rocket attitude.

The designer also showcased a series of surfer looks made of modern nylons and micro fibers, but looks seem someone who had never actually surfed designed them.

“High tech kite surfer,” said Gianinni, who confessed to not having really tried the sport. “My arms are too weak,” she laughed. (yahoo fashion news)

Oscar Niemeyer never recognized his ideas in this Gucci collection even his buildings tapped directly into his immediate and exotic environment for inspiration.
